Whether you live nearby or are flying in to look at Cape Coral property, this calendar of upcoming events will provide you with entertaining things to do while you are here. Explore the area, take in the culture, enjoy all that SW Florida has to offer.
First Saturday of each month
South Cape Street Market:
Just like the open markets
that are so popular in Europe, South Cape hosts a street market on the first
Saturday of each month. The Cape's market takes place on Vincennes Boulevard
and runs from November through April each year.
Hours of operation are from 9 am to 2 pm and admission is free.
With well over 60 vendors,
the market attracts thousands of visitors to browse through lovely antiques ,
handcrafted artwork , and upscale collectible pieces. Southwest Florida is well
known for its artists, who range from prestigious Sanibel Island to artsy /
funky city of Matlacha.
You'll find a wide variety of
ever-changing wares at the street market. One week you may find garden décor,
while the next brings you an heirloom quilt or handmade soaps. There is something
for everyone at the South Cape Street Market. To complete the atmosphere, Tom’s
Traveling Tunes will be playing your favorite music.
February 12
Lake Kennedy Mardi Gras
Dinner Show, with the Chicago Mob:
Get your jazz on with this
fun filled Fat Tuesday style masquerade party held at 400 Santa Barbara Blvd in
Cape Coral. Dress up in your favorite Mardi Gras costume and bring your beads
for this night of food, entertainment, and dancing! The evening celebration
runs from 6:30 pm to 10 pm.
The event is held at 400
Santa Barbara Blvd. Price is $18 for members / $20 non-members.

February 4-14
Collier County Fair:
The Collier county fair
actually takes place in Naples, a neighboring city to the Cape. Lasting almost
two full weeks, this massive event brings visitors from all over the state of
Florida, and even out of state.

6-11 Years $5.00 per Person
5 Years & Under FREE
The Collier County Fair is
held on the State Fair Grounds and has every ride you could possibly imagine,
along with livestock shows, a BBQ Cook Off, a real livestock auction, and
plenty of Southern food, entertainment and hospitality.

You" at The Florida Repertory Theater:

Fort Myer's Repertory Theater
is nationally acclaimed and was recently featured in the Wall Street Journal.

chronicles the unlikely pairing of Tony Kirby and Alice Sycamore. This timeless
treasure is a must see.
February 13
38th Annual Art Show and Sale
More than 100 artists will be
featured at this annual event which takes place in the lovely town of Matlacha.
The city is featuring paintings and art with an emphasis on Florida landscapes,
seascapes, birds, fish and flowers. 10am-4pm Saturday and Sunday. All paintings
purchased will be matted, framed and ready to hang.

February 14
The largest and most
beautiful children's parade in the state! Hundreds of participants ranging from
strollers and wagon units to dancers and gymnasts to family floats and marching
bands. This is a beloved community event that attracts national attention. For

February 20
The Edison Festival of Light
Grand Parade
Thousands of participants
come from all over the nation while hundreds of thousands of spectators cheer
them on! The largest night parade in Florida. Free to spectators. Join the
Parade After-Party with live entertainment in Centennial Park until 11:00pm.
