Weekends come alive with authentic blue grass music coming from local establishments while local artists provide some of the most interesting workshops and art shows that can be found anywhere. The creative diversity and talent of Matlacha's sizable art community have earned the community the title, "Florida's Creative Coast."

Boating and kayak tours are provided by Gulf Coast Kayak and Snooktown Charters where you'll be taken through the winding mangroves to a fish, wildlife, and bird watching wonderland.
